At one point, building fonts and protecting the format was something that fell into the areas of intellectual property. Adobe guarded its secrets and so did others. Protecting their innovations was important.
Times have changed.
Adobe has reached a new milestone. Adobe has fielded frequent requests for a typeface tailored to an open source environment through the company’s work in the open source community. Adobe has just offered a new typeface tailored their users’ specific needs while making another important contribution to the open source community.
