It looks like Microsoft is taking its own advice, and is working to create a new iPad app for its own MSN content editors–by using HTML5. A recently post discussed the project, stating that they were creating the CSS3/HTML5 app by getting rid of all Windows dependencies.
The MSN team is looking for developers who would be working on a web app that provides their editors with the functionality that an editor typically needs. The app will use Razor views, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3. They are hoping to remove the Windows dependencies so they can open the app up to Mac, Safari and iPad users.
Microsoft’s plan includes several tiers of applications, including immersive, interactive apps, legacy apps, mobile apps and web apps that will work on virtually any platform.
